With an open-air printing campaign on 30.6. and 1.7.2022 the project "WOODCUT XXL/ Project Extended Woodcut" was completed at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, on which a group of students from all disciplines have been working in the woodcut workshop of the school since the beginning of the semester. The printing process opened up and took place outdoors. The inner courtyard of the academy became the printing workshop and the tandem roller became the printing press.

The project was realized as a group action: Each picture required many working hands for its creation. All motifs have been processed in the format 120 x 150 cm and 120 x 200 cm in wooden panels. Using a 5-ton tandem roller, the students rolled the respective plates together in the planned printing campaign and then printed them.
